A Collaboration of Arts Forms

The featured interpretive dance performance by the Dance Arts League was specially choreographed by Ann Stein-Heemskerk for this evening. This collaboration between world renowned artist Frank Hyder and the Dance Arts League offers a unique intermingling of art forms and cultures. Hyder’s work represents customs and lives of aboriginal peoples living in the rainforest. The music which will accompany the dances will be South American, African and Australian. The art of Frank Hyder and this collaboration will inspire understanding and action to protect the environment, especially the rain forests of the world. Frank Hyder: Poems from a Threatened Eden is on display at the Noyes through January 11, 2010.
